The Corona vaccinations are carried out in all 13 Saxon districts and independent cities. Vaccination centres have been established for this purpose. In addition, there are mobile teams that vaccinate residents and staff in care facilities. Vaccination is only possible with an appointment.

For vaccinations, there is an order for the population - there is no compulsory vaccination. For this purpose, so-called prioritisation groups were formed. First, the over-80s were vaccinated as a priority, as well as staff in outpatient care services and particularly affected risk areas. Depending on the speed, the other groups will be given their turn. Up-to-date information about one's priority group is available on the Internet or by telephone. Vaccination appointments can also be booked by telephone or via a service portal on the Internet.

Currently, three vaccines are licensed in Germany: Biontech/Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca. However, there is no freedom of choice in the vaccine.
