Further education

Training is becoming increasingly important, mostly because of rapid technical development, but also because of a shortage of skilled workers. Basically, there are almost no limits to the possibilities for further training. They are very diverse. Both certified and self-study knowledge helps to get a job, keep it or improve career opportunities. Continuing education also helps in re-entering the old profession.
Very often further education is offered by private educational institutions. But there are also state-financed offers which are intended to help you find a job. Education is highly valued in our society and everyone is expected to "learn for life".

With such a large offer for further training it is all the more important to consider exactly in what one would like to further educate oneself and where. That is why you should clarify your professional goals for the next few years in advance. Take stock of your strengths and find out what you still need to meet the requirements associated with your goal. Now you must research further training offers. What is important to you? Duration, cost and scope of the training, proximity, size of the group, trainers, etc.
If your employer pays, you can make him a concrete proposal. Explain to him why this training is good for you and for the company.
After the training you should do a benefit check. Does the new knowledge qualify you for another position? Was the training also helpful for your personal development? Can you do your job better now? Be honest with yourself in order to be able to work purposefully on your development.
